Description
This collection consists of six Märklin HO scale model train items featuring North American liveries for Union Pacific and Pacific Fruit Express. The group includes two Alco PA diesel locomotives and four rolling stock sets. The first locomotive, model 49610, is finished in Union Pacific yellow and gray and marked with road number 601. The second locomotive, model 37610, is a digital-ready unit in matching Union Pacific livery, marked with road number 600. The rolling stock includes three model 45680 Pacific Fruit Express Reefer Sets, each containing three refrigerator cars in orange livery with P.F.E. lettering. Also included is one model 45690 Union Pacific Stock Car Set containing three cars in yellow and reddish-brown finishes. The models feature a combination of die-cast metal and plastic construction. All sets are housed in their original illustrated boxes with internal foam packaging and protective plastic sleeves. Markings on the packaging include märklin HO, märklin digital HO, ALCO PA, Reefer Set, and Stock Car Set. One box includes a retail sticker from Donning’s Hobby dated 12-27-03.
