Description
This collection of Fleischmann HO scale model train units features the German InterCityExpress (ICE) high-speed rail system. The group consists of a two-car power set and individual passenger coaches. Construction utilizes plastic bodies with die-cast metal chassis components and metal wheels. The primary set, model 4440, includes two driving units numbered 401 511-1 and 401 011-2. One unit is a powered locomotive equipped with a roof-mounted pantograph, while the second is a non-powered dummy car. Both units are finished in a white livery with a red horizontal stripe, ICE lettering, and the DB logo. This set is housed in its original red manufacturer box with a polystyrene insert. The individual coaches include model 4445 K 1st Class passenger coach, model 4444 K Bord Restaurant dining car, and model 4446 K 2nd Class passenger coach, each housed in a clear acrylic and card case. Visible markings include FLEISCHMANN HO, 4440, InterCityExpress, and ICE on the primary packaging, which is also marked MADE IN GERMANY and FABRIQUÉ EN ALLEMAGNE.
