Description
A collection of Lionel postwar-era O-gauge model trains and accessories. The group includes a No. 736 Berkshire steam locomotive with a 2-8-4 wheel arrangement, featuring die-cast metal construction, a smoke unit, and an e-unit reverse mechanism. Accompanying the locomotive is a No. 2671W whistle tender constructed of black die-cast metal and marked Lionel Lines.
The rolling stock consists of several freight cars: a No. 6465 Sunoco dual-dome tank car in silver-painted plastic with yellow and red Sunoco decals; a No. 3469 operating ore dump car in black plastic with automatic unloading capability; a No. 3656 operating cattle car set including an orange plastic stock car and its corresponding green-painted stamped metal loading platform with a cream-colored ramp; and a No. 6517 red plastic bay-window caboose with Radio Equipped graphics.
Construction materials include die-cast metal for the locomotive and tender, molded plastic bodies for the freight cars on die-cast or stamped metal chassis, and stamped metal for the cattle loading platform. The collection is accompanied by five original worn cardboard boxes for the tender and freight cars, a small box for No. 3656-9 cattle figures, and a tan paper envelope containing additional accessories.
