Description
A collection of Lionel postwar O-gauge model trains, rolling stock, and accessories manufactured in the 1950s. The set is constructed from die-cast metal, stamped steel, and plastic components. The locomotive is a No. 736 Berkshire 2-8-4 steam locomotive in black die-cast metal featuring white cab number 736, a smoke unit, and a headlight. It is paired with a No. 2046W Lionel Lines whistle tender with a plastic shell and die-cast trucks. The rolling stock includes a No. 3562 A.T. & S.F. operating barrel car in grey with a blue operator figure and five wooden barrels; a No. 6467 flatcar in red stamped steel carrying three silver-colored pipes with black metal stakes; a No. 6414 auto-loader car in red stamped steel with a black superstructure and four cardboard-wrapped vehicle loads; and a No. 3662 operating milk car in white with a brown roof and doors. Accessories include a No. 3662 green and white operating platform and seven silver-colored metal milk cans. The collection is accompanied by five original Lionel corrugated cardboard boxes with orange and blue livery, including ends marked No. 6477 Miscellaneous Car, No. 2046W Tender with Whistle, No. 3562 Operating Barrel Car, No. 3662 Operating Milk Car, and No. 6414. Original boxes are worn with torn flaps.
