Description
This group consists of three vintage Lionel toy accessory sets from the mid-20th century. The collection includes the No. 470 Missile Launching Platform with No. 6448 Exploding Target Car, the No. 5160 Official Viewing Stand, and the No. 419 Heliport.
The No. 470 Missile Launching Platform features a tan plastic base with a blue and white spring-loaded launcher mechanism and a yellow radar dish. It is paired with the No. 6448 Exploding Target Car, a red freight car with white bullseye graphics and "Target Car" text. Both items are housed in the original orange and black Lionel Trains box.
The No. 5160 Official Viewing Stand is branded for the Lionel Speedway. It features a red upper structure with interior graphics depicting spectators, supported by tan stilts and a staircase on a tan base. The manufacturer is listed on the original cream-colored box.
The No. 419 Heliport matches the architectural style of the viewing stand, featuring a red structure labeled Lionel Heliport on tan stilts. Included accessories are a yellow plastic helicopter with black rotors and a yellow loudspeaker assembly for the roof. This set is accompanied by its original orange and black box and a small brown paper envelope.
