Description
A collection of vintage O-gauge model train items manufactured by Lionel during the postwar era. The centerpiece is a Lionel No. 736 Berkshire steam locomotive, featuring a 2-8-4 wheel arrangement and constructed from black die-cast metal. The cab is marked with the number 736 in white, and the engine is equipped with decorative handrails, a bell, and a complex valve gear linkage. Accompanying the locomotive is a black 2046W plastic Lionel Lines tender with a simulated coal load and silver-white lettering.
The rolling stock consists of three freight cars. The Lionel No. 3366 Circus Car is a cream-colored plastic cattle-style car with red lettering and sliding doors. The Lionel No. X6454 Pennsylvania Boxcar is finished in maroon plastic with white lettering and features sliding metal doors. The Lionel No. 3562-1 AT&SF Operating Barrel Car is a black plastic gondola-style car containing a yellow wooden barrel load and a small blue plastic figure positioned on the operating mechanism.
Accessories in this collection include a No. 3366 Circus Corral, which is a plastic and metal base with a rotating interior track designed for use with the circus car, and a black plastic and metal track-side activator unit. Two original small cardboard component boxes are included: No. 362-78 for Six Barrels and No. 3366-100 for Figures for No. 3366 Circus Car.
