Description
A vintage Lionel Corporation O-gauge model train set, designated as Outfit No. 2234W, titled S.F. Twin Diesel O Ga. Passenger Train with Horn. This mid-1950s set is comprised of two Santa Fe F3 A-unit diesel locomotives and a set of four extruded aluminum passenger cars. The locomotives include one No. 2353P powered unit and one No. 2353T non-powered unit, both featuring the iconic red and silver Warbonnet livery. The locomotives are constructed with molded plastic shells, die-cast metal frames, and die-cast trucks, equipped with Magne-Traction and a functional horn mechanism in the powered unit.
The passenger car set, bearing the Lionel Lines name, consists of a No. 2530 baggage car marked Railway Express Agency, a No. 2533 Silver Cloud Pullman car, a No. 2532 Silver Range Astra-Dome car, and a No. 2531 Silver Dawn observation car. These cars are manufactured with extruded aluminum bodies, plastic end caps, die-cast trucks, and interior illumination.
Accompanying the rolling stock is a No. UCS O-gauge remote control track set and an original instruction booklet titled Instructions for Operating Lionel Twin Diesel Locomotives. The set is complete with individual original orange and blue or corrugated cardboard boxes for each component and the master shipping carton labeled Outfit No. 2234W.
