Description
A vintage prewar O-gauge electric freight train set manufactured by The Lionel Corporation. The set features a die-cast steam-type locomotive finished in silver-gray paint, marked 238E on the cab sides and PENNSYLVANIA on the boiler. It is accompanied by a dark gray No. 265W coal tender marked LIONEL LINES. The freight assortment includes a No. 810 crane car with a yellow cab, red roof, and green boom equipped with a manual crank mechanism. Also included is a No. 812 green lithographed tinplate gondola car marked LIONEL LINES and a No. 815 silver lithographed tinplate tank car featuring a red and yellow Sunoco logo and LIONEL LINES markings. The set is accompanied by three original cardboard boxes corresponding to the No. 810 Crane Car, the No. 812 Gondola Car, and the No. 815 Oil Car. The items are constructed from die-cast metal and lithographed tinplate.
