Description
This is a set of four professional-grade Gauge 1 (1:32 scale) model railway tank wagons manufactured by Märklin. The collection consists of four distinct wagons representing major petroleum companies: Esso, Shell, BP, and Aral. Each wagon is constructed with a die-cast metal chassis and components featuring plastic tanks and intricate detail parts including railings, ladders, and walkways. The Esso wagon features a white tank with a red horizontal stripe and the circular blue and red Esso logo, marked for Esso A.G. Hamburg. The Shell wagon features a yellow tank with the red Shell pecten logo and text, marked for Vereinigte Tanklager and Transportmittel GmbH Hamburg. The BP wagon features a green tank with the BP shield logo on a white ground, marked for Deutsche BP Aktiengesellschaft Hamburg. The Aral wagon features a blue tank with the Aral diamond logo and large white block lettering, marked for Aral Aktiengesellschaft Bochum. Each wagon includes detailed frame markings and specific rail numbers such as 21 RIV 80 DB 000 2 660-7 for the Esso unit. The wagons are equipped with non-powered free-rolling metal wheels and standard Märklin Gauge 1 knuckle-style couplers.
