Description
This is a set of vintage HO scale model train equipment manufactured by Rivarossi in Italy, including one electric locomotive and three passenger coaches. The locomotive is an Italian State Railways (FS) Class E.424 electric model, finished in a two-tone brown castano-isabella livery and marked with the number 424 001 on the front. It is equipped with dual metal pantographs and is identified in the included documentation as model Le 424/R. The three passenger coaches feature matching two-tone brown and tan finishes with side markings including F.S. Dz 50408, F.S. Cz 36453, and F.S. Cz 35688. The units are constructed with plastic bodies, metal chassis, and metal wheels. The equipment is housed in original Rivarossi cardboard boxes featuring the brand’s orange and white repeating script logo. One coach box is marked V CZ and bears a blue ink date stamp from May 4, 1957, while others are marked V BZ. Accompanying the set is original paperwork including a Rivarossi informational brochure and a test certificate (Certificato di collaudo) identifying the locomotive type as Le 424/R with matricola number 033.
