Description
RS Modell 88. 1953. This is a vintage miniature architectural model of a European-style half-timbered commercial building. The four-story structure is designed in the traditional German Fachwerk style. It is constructed from mixed media, including wood, heavy cardboard, and composition materials with hand-painted details. The building features a steeply pitched, textured red roof with six dormer windows and a single chimney. The upper stories display brown timbering on a cream ground, with numerous windows flanked by pale green shutters. Applied artificial red and green foliage is present in window boxes throughout the facades. The ground floor consists of a white stucco-style finish with a recessed shop front area supported by four turned wooden pillars. A printed sign reading FOTO – OPTIK is positioned above the colonnade.
