Description
A highly detailed HO scale model of a Union Pacific Big Boy Class 4000 steam locomotive and its accompanying tender, manufactured by Trix, a subsidiary of the Marklin group. This model, identified as item number 22599, represents road number 4015, which is printed on the cab side and the front of the tender. The locomotive and tender are constructed primarily of die-cast metal and finished in a prototypical black livery with a silver-painted boiler front. The tender features white Union Pacific lettering on both sides. Technical specifications noted on the original packaging indicate the model is equipped with a DCC decoder and integrated sound functions, as well as RP 25 wheel contours for high-fidelity track performance. The set is presented in its original premium dark wood storage and display case, which includes two brass-tone latches and a fitted foam-lined interior. Also included is the original outer yellow and white cardboard retail box, which displays the Trix and Marklin logos, the Big Boy insignia, and the product number.
