Description
This Marklin HO scale digital starter set, item number 29821, is titled Getting Started in the New World of Digital. The set is modeled after the German Federal Railroad (DB) during Era III. It features two locomotives: a Class 50 steam locomotive with a tender and a Class V 160 diesel locomotive in maroon livery. Both locomotives are constructed with die-cast metal and plastic components and include digital decoders and high-efficiency propulsion systems. The rolling stock comprises three Silberlinge commuter passenger cars and a four-piece freight car set including a stake car with two automobile models, a sliding roof gondola, a boxcar, and a low side car. The control system includes a Marklin Mobile Station digital controller and a 60 VA transformer wired for 110V/60Hz. The C-track layout includes an oval with a passing siding composed of 14 curved sections, 17 straight sections, one feeder track, and one pair of curved turnouts. Original printed documentation, including the Handbuch fur den Start in Marklin HO, is included.
