Description
A Lionel Postwar No. 41 U.S. Army Gas Turbine Switcher, dating from approximately 1955-57. This black toy train locomotive is primarily of metal construction with some plastic elements. It features “UNITED STATES ARMY, ” “TRANSPORTATION, ” “CORPS, ” and “41” markings, along with a winged wheel logo on its sides. The locomotive is accompanied by its original red and beige cardboard box, printed with “LIONEL ELECTRIC TRAINS, ” “THE LIONEL CORPORATION NEW YORK CHICAGO, ” and “AMERICAN TOYS, ” also indicating “No. 41 SWITCHER LIONEL” and “41.” A folded, yellowed paper instruction sheet for a “LIONEL No. 41 GAS TURBINE SWITCHER” is also present. Original box has wear and inserts C8-9
