Description
A Lionel No. 53 Rio Grande Postwar Snow Plow Locomotive. The model features a black body with a yellow cab and a front-mounted plow. It is accented by a brass-toned bell and bears “Rio Grande” with the correct A letter and “53” markings on its cab. The locomotive is constructed from painted metal and plastic components. Accompanying the locomotive is its original cardboard product box, predominantly red with blue and white details, marked “LIONEL ELECTRIC TRAINS, ” “No. 53 SNOWPLOW LIONEL, ” and “MADE IN U.S. OF AMERICA.” A folded paper instruction leaflet titled “Instructions for Operating LIONEL No. 53 SNOWPLOW LOCOMOTIVE” is also included. Original box has one end flap separated but intact and inserts C8-9
