Description
This group of model railway equipment is manufactured by Hornby Dublo, Meccano Ltd., in England. The collection includes a die-cast 2-8-0 steam locomotive in black livery, cab side number 48073, with a matching tender featuring the British Railways crest. The lot contains several lithographed tinplate coaches in maroon livery. Among the rolling stock is a Royal Mail T.P.O. van numbered W 807 and passenger coaches with LMS markings and The Caledonian roof boards. Visible coach numbers include M 4193, 24133, and M 26143. The group features a No. 3400 T.P.O. Mail Van Set with its original blue-and-white striped box, trackside mail apparatus with a yellow-orange ramp, and a signalman hut. Included are original instructions, a set of mail bags, and a plain blue storage box.
