Description
This lot features an O-Gauge 3-rail model steam locomotive and matching tender produced by MTH Electric Trains as part of the Rail King product line. The locomotive is a 0-8-0 Switch Engine decorated for the Northern Pacific railway, carrying road number 1189 on the cab sides. The unit is constructed with a die-cast metal locomotive body and a die-cast metal tender. Technical specifications include a precision flywheel-equipped motor, all-metal wheels and gears, and a DCRU reverse unit. This model is equipped with the Proto-Sound digital sound system by QSI, featuring an electronic whistle and freight yard sounds, along with a Proto-Smoke system and an operating headlight. The tender features a simulated coal load and an operating die-cast metal coupler. The locomotive is designed to operate on O-27 gauge track. The set includes its original yellow and orange Rail King illustrated box with the manufacturer’s label identifying it as Item No. 30-1124-1.
